Roblox Studio can act as a server for AI tools. Open the Assistant, pick Manage MCP Servers, turn on Enable Studio as MCP server, and Studio offers a quick connect for Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor and a few others (Roblox's guide).

After that, the agent in your terminal can run Luau in your open place, look at the screen and start a playtest. So the question isn't whether these tools can touch Roblox. It's what a day of building costs, and when they make you stop.

How Claude Code limits work

Claude Code comes with Claude's paid plans. Pro and Max have two limits that run at the same time:

A 5-hour session limit. Use up the window and you wait for it to reset.
A weekly limit. It resets on a fixed day and time for your account, even if every 5-hour window had room.

The two are shared with the normal Claude chat, so planning a game in the chat uses the same allowance as building it (Anthropic: using Claude Code with your plan). Anthropic doesn't publish exact numbers. You check what's left under Settings > Usage, or with /status in Claude Code.

How Codex limits work

Codex comes with ChatGPT plans. Plus is $20 a month, and Pro starts at $100 (with $200 and $500 tiers) (OpenAI: Codex pricing).

On Plus, OpenAI gives a range instead of a number: for example 15 to 160 messages every 5 hours with GPT-6.1 Sol, or 350 to 3,000 with the lighter GPT-6 Luna. How many you actually get depends on how big each task is. Cloud tasks use more than local ones, and OpenAI says weekly limits may also apply.

Pro has no 5-hour limit right now, but weekly limits can still apply. When you run out, you buy credits or plug in an API key and pay per token.

They're general coding agents, and very good ones. If you also write websites, backends or tools outside Roblox, one subscription covers all of it. They work on any folder on your computer, use Git, and let you pick models and settings. If you like the terminal and already pay for Claude or ChatGPT, connecting them to Studio is a fine way to start.
